Even to this day I still keep a subscription with our local newspaper. It’s honestly less money nowadays to get physical newspapers each day than it was 10 years ago. I suppose the news business is entirely desperate to keep whatever bi-weekly readers that they have left. And there are often articles inside the paper that don’t make it on the website, unless of course you log-in with your subscription information. Reading the newspaper is a regular part of my mornings that I don’t want to end up giving up. Until I see the announcement that the newspaper is being shut down altogether, I will be a loyal subscriber. On the other hand, I don’t care for the rampant increase in advertising. There’s a removable banner sleeve that wraps the newspaper together pretty much like a belt. It contains the paper’s most exclusive in addition to costly advertisement space. Usually it contains a banner ad for a local business, however not always. I also see all types of chain suppliers that easily use that advertising space, especially if a grocery store is opening a new location within the districts receiving that actual newspaper. Last week it contained a promo for a new industrial in addition to commercial equipment rental business. The ad basically says they offer on-site rental equipment deliveries for companies in vastly different industries. For example, they offer rental boilers in addition to chillers, which are actually used by suppliers of all kinds. There are factories that use chillers to cool their tepid equipment so nothing overheats during production hours. Boilers on the other hand are actually used by essentially every industry, even in small suppliers where heating loads are a regular part of a commercial business.
