I have begun getting into better shape now that I am getting older.
I can no longer trust my metabolism and burning calories through sports at school.
I work a regular job, buy my own groceries and I am starting to put on extra pounds. The issue was that I didn’t have a clue how to work out. My experience with fitness was strictly through gym class in school and that was basically a joke. I knew a lot of my friends had gotten a gym membership to work out. I tried that route and realized I still didn’t know what to do. I was apprehensive of y the machines and wasn’t sure how to operate them. I also felt funny about asking for assistance. I then came across the solution. I take fitness classes. My gym offers group personal training classes. I am put into a group as small as 6 people or as large as 15 with a certified fitness expert. The professional trainer tells us what to do. I have learned how to warm up and stretch properly before starting any workout. I now know how to lift weights to target specific muscles in the body. I can do cardio drills and am familiar with all sorts of equipment. The personal trainer has had us jumping rope, pedaling a stationary bike, swimming laps in the pool, lifting free weights and even using an elliptical. I feel so much more knowledgeable now. The classes are great for getting fit. I am getting into better shape and I feel so much better. I have more energy throughout the day and also sleep better at night. I have realized that I am no longer sore, exhausted or in a bad mood at the end of the day. Working out has changed my life for the positive.
