I honestly didn’t know what to expect when our business suddenly was under new management. A lot of people were afraid they would lose their jobs, but I had hope that we would all be permitted to work at this place. Well, we were provided the opportunity, but we had to go through the interview process all over again. That was fine with me so long as I could keep my job. The interview went fine and I actually connected well with the new managers of the place. I was actually surprised when a manager asked me if I felt the temperature control settings were adequate in the building. He told me to be honest and then laughed briefly. I felt a little nervous, but I admitted that the A/C was sort of lacking and the air quality could use some improvement. I could see visible dust floating around on most days and that was a cause for concern. The guy thanked me for bringing this to his attention. Before I knew it, they were upgrading the HVAC system and I heard that they were using HEPA filters. If that was the case, that meant the new HVAC would pull 99.9% of contaminants from the air and that made me feel so much better. The air quality did improve tremendously and I ended up thanking the new managers for the work they put in to provide greater comfort. We had to abide by some new rules in the office space, but I felt that everything was fair. My 401k is intact and everything is looking bright for the future.
