So glad the HVAC appliance worker discovered the frayed wire

Every Springtime, my husband and I have a full HVAC appliance tune-up performed on the heating and a/c.

  • The full HVAC appliance tune-up is a wonderful way to make sure that my heating, ventilation, and A/C appliance runs well and lasts a long time.

The HVAC tune-up contractor constantly performed a thorough investigation on the system… My modern HVAC appliance is about 6 years old. My husband and I have had a full appliance tune-up performed on the heating, ventilation, and A/C appliance each and every Springtime since we chose to buy the thing last summer time. This was the first time the people I was with and I had major setbacks during the tune-up. The contractor was able to find a frayed wire in the connection between the a/c appliance and the heat pump. The cause of the chewed wire was absolutely difficult to determine, however the contractor and repair contractor believed it could have been a rodent or a mouse. There were no critters inside of the HVAC appliance when the maintenance contractor checked on the equipment. The electrical wire was definitely an important wire that would have stopped the HVAC equipment from properly working. The people I was with and I were lucky and extremely thankful that the maintenance contractor found the drawback. The cost to repair that particular frayed electrical wire was only $7, but if the people I was with and I would have needed to contact that repair maintenance separate from the tune-up and on a totally different day, the people I was with and I would have had to pay for a maintenance appointment as well! Since the setback was easily found during the tune up, the people I was with and I didn’t have to pay any additional fees other than the expense of the materials and the price of the tune up.
